Inspired by China, this Pakistani pizza joint has introduced robot waitresses
Inspired by China, an upscale pizza joint in the historical Pakistani city of Multan has introduced robot waitresses that are serving up smiles for customers.

At, robos Rabia, Annie and Jennie welcome customers and also serve them hot, fresh and smoking pies prepared to order.

Owner Osama Jafari, who drew inspiration from robot waiters in China, built the three prototypes himself and says that the response is overwhelming.

According to Jafari, he sourced all the parts locally, which cost him $6000 to build.

12-year-old Osama Ahmed, a young customer, told AFP, "We went to a lot of places, but my uncle said that in this restaurant a robot serves and when the robot served us pizza we felt very happy."

Another customer, Hamid Bashir said, "It is an innovation. It feels good to be served like that and is good entertainment for the children."
