Army to treat stone-pelters in Kashmir as overground workers of jihadis: Right move at right time!
Warning of the Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat came none too soon that all those stone-pelters and local trouble shooters who interfere in Army's anti-terror operations helping jihadis to escape and army getting unnecessary casualties because till now the Army did not use force against them, no more.

Now, the Army will treat these trouble makers and stone-pelters as overground workers of the jihadis and can be fired upon, General Bipin Rawat the new Army chief said.

In last one week two encounters have taken place in South Kashmir Valley, where as against eight killed jihadis, six army men including one Major has been martyred. This is too heavy cost to pay against Pakistan sponsored jihadis who are basically cannon fodder to the Pakistani Army and ISI.

These illiterate and semi-literate jihadis are given three months training and then send across the border to get killed. They are thoroughly brain washed by Pakistani Maulanas that their real life will begin after death when the almighty Allah will personally receive them in heaven along with 72 maidens for them to consort.

The high casualty rate among the Indian Army soldiers in these encounters have been a matter of concern for quite some time now. The main reason is that Indian Army follows the rule of minimum force to be used. They fight these jihadis man to man not using heavy weapons available with the Army. The aim being that these people are our own misguided people.

However, off late these so called misguided people known as separatists have been taking undue advantage of this concept. Whenever an encounter with jihadis happens they quickly gather in droves and start pelting stones on the Army active against jihadis.

Imagine Army troops sandwiched between jihadis, who use most modern weapons in front and these pattharbaj in the rear and flanks. In this chaos army buys casualties but nothing happens to stone-pelters because they are not armed. This confusion also helps jihadis to escape which so many have done.

Compare this with what Pakistani army does. They have carried out their anti-terror operation whether in Swat Valley or in Tribal Areas of Pakistan by using F-16 fighter aircrafts, heavy artillery guns causing collateral damage.

Millions of locals have been made homeless with thousands of casualties. AFSPA gives the Indian Army to use as much force as they want against anybody. It is the greatness of this Army that despite having powers it has not exercised them and taken casualties themselves. Time has come when rules of engagement must change.

The Army people get casualties because they try to flush out these jihadis from homes in urban areas in man to man fight. In jungle area, they have to first warn the jihadis to surrender. No more these luxuries. If fire comes from a house, no house to house fighting please. Simply destroy the house using heavy weapons.

Similarly, this warning process in jungle area must stop. If suspicious shoot him. Come what may but we cannot lose our highly trained and capable soldiers to these illiterate jihadi skunks.
